A few years ago I read a book by popular author, John Green. In the book one of his characters sarcastically says, “What’s the point of being alive if you don’t at least try to do something remarkable?” This quote, while it was written sarcastically, has really stuck with me. Because its true, What IS the point?
With my life, I am doing something I consider remarkable. And that is what this blog is all about! The remarkable experience of raising a family. You’ll find posts about natural living, attachment parenting, cloth diapering, organizing, cooking, cleaning, and everything in between!
I’m Alicia! I’m 22 years old and happily married to my high school sweetheart, a wonderful, caring, worrying, passionate, down-to-earth man who has been a part of my life for years. We currently have two furbabies, a Shih Tzu named Cobie and a Cocker Spaniel named Chester. We also have our first real baby, Elliot, who joined us on June 1st, 2012.
My husband is a high school Band Director, and he’s just finishing up a Master’s degree in School Counseling. I also work with the band as the Color Guard Instructor. I personally would love to make teaching Color Guard my full time job, but if that doesn’t happen from me, then well see where life takes me. My real life-time goal has always been to simply be a wife and mother.
